About

I am a designer, builder, and woodworking craftsman.

My design language is primarily expressed in traditional work, that of Europe and America of the 18th and 19th centuries. I also especially enjoy working in the austere grace of Japanese design and the highly carved fluid organic work of Art Nouveau. I regularly collaborate with and call upon the very best craftspeople in a very wide variety of crafts to assist in the accomplishment of my work. Although specialty woodworking is the craft that I practice, I regularly design work to be executed in other crafts; forged steel and bronze, stone construction and carving, decorative glass, plaster, and sheet metals.

I have been doing this for 45 years.
